Jonathan Ankney

For the last 20 years Jonathan Ankney, founder and CEO of Small Business CFO, has worked with small businesses and non-profits continually in a variety of financial management functions. Two decades into the business, his primary functions are firm strategy, training, business development, and developing financial workflows for new clients.

Jonathan founded Small Business CFO in 2004 in response to the critical need he saw in small businesses and non-profit organizations: regardless of development stage, they still needed guidance, accounting services, and financial expertise to thrive. Since incorporating, he has helped over 200 small businesses in areas including financial systems development, forecasting, cash flow management, and payroll.

In addition to financial management work, Jonathan has written for Smart Hustle (link) magazine, is an active Toastmaster, and serves on the finance committee of the parish of Calvary-St. George (link) in Manhattan.  He graduated from Binghamton University in 1994 with an MBA in finance and arts administration.
